Dr. Christine offers laser skin rejuvenation to patients that seek to improve the signs of sun damage and aging in the skin; such as pigmented and vascular irregularities, uneven or rough skin texture. Skin rejuvenation can be done on face, neck, chest, hands, and arms.

Dr. Christine uses skin rejuvenation for:

  • Sun damage
  • Brown spots (pigmented imperfections)
  • Decrease in overall redness
  • Rosacea (vascular imperfections)
  • Reduction of sunspots
  • Red blotchiness from spider vessels
  • Improvement with acne breakouts
  • Reduction of pore size
  • Uneven skin texture

Dr. Christine’s skin rejuvenation treatments utilize leading edge aesthetic technology to restore skin to a more youthful state. Dr. Christine uses a specially designed laser called the eMax, which features proprietary elos™ technology. This laser utilizes RF (radiofrequency), focused light and bipolar radiofrequency energies.

WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED?

Skin rejuvenation can be used on any portion of the body. These treatments are used for great improvement of the appearance of face, neck and chest areas on all skin colors and types.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

Dr. Christine offers complimentary consultation to assess your treatment areas and recommend a treatment plan to achieve your desired results. Each skin rejuvenation treatment will result in gradual lightening and improvement of pigmented and vascular imperfections. Textural improvements are appreciated towards the end of the treatment series. Most of Dr. Christine’s patients are treated twice per month, for approximately 4-5 sessions.

IS THIS PROCEDURE SAFE?

Dr. Christine’s laser skin rejuvenation treatments are very safe for the skin. There are no long term health hazards from light or electric energies used in eMax treatments. This technology has been used for decades in medicine, surgery, and aesthetics without adversity.

IS THERE RECOVERY DOWNTIME FOR THIS PROCEDURE?

There is virtually no downtime. Most people experience no side effects, though occasionally some experience short-term, local reddening. Temporary pinkness in the skin lasts a very short time, and most people return to work or normal activities immediately after treatment. The improvement in pigmented and vascular irregularities can often be appreciated by the time the patient returns for their next treatment two weeks later. Brown spots temporarily go darker before they lighten. Treatments are a simple 30 minute office procedure.

IS LASER SKIN REJUVENATION PAINFUL?

The sensation is often described as “hot pinch” feeling. The sensation only lasts for fraction of a second, and you may feel warmth or tingling sensation for a short time afterward. Most people tolerate treatment without topical anesthetic, but for individuals who are more sensitive, Dr. Christine can utilize a topical anesthetic to numb the skin prior to treatment.
