DON’T LET YOUR HANDS GIVE AWAY YOUR AGE!

We have so many tools available to us today to help us look and feel our best. We can reverse or slow down the aging signs that time has imprinted on our faces. Most of our population, on average, looks younger than their chronological age and with the revolution of Non-Surgical Cosmetic Solutions, can look their best all the time if they choose to.

WHAT IS RADIESSE®?

Hands are the most age telling feature we possess. Radiesse® makes it possible to re-plump and volumize the hands, instantly returning them to a more youthful appearance. Dr. Christine places the Radiesse® just below the skin level elevating the surface. The product then lies between the skin and over the vein, tendons and bony prominences. This ultimately results in more soft, supple and youthful looking hands in just 15 minutes.

Radiesse® is an FDA approved dermal filler and is the only filler currently available for augmentation to correct volume loss in the hands for up to 1 year. Dr. Christine has been using Radiesse® for almost 10 years to naturally restore volume loss to the hands, giving her patients smoother, rejuvenated and more youthful hands.

WHO SHOULD NOT USE RADIESSE®?

Radiesse® should not be used on any patient with a history of hypersensitivity of allergies to any of the components of the product. It is contraindicated in patients with a history of bleeding disorders, are pregnant, breastfeeding or under 26 years of age. If you are on blood thinners such as Coumadin or have any hand disabilities, please make sure Dr. Christine is aware of any recent injuries or the addition of any new medication.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER MY TREATMENT?

Immediately after your procedure, your hands may be minimally swollen and you may experience a temporary difficulty in performing activities. As with all injectable procedures, bruising and tenderness at the injection site may be seen, and can be minimized with the use of cool compress and topical arnica. Dr. Christine recommends that her patients minimize strenuous activity and avoid extensive sun or heat exposure following their treatment. If a nodule or bump develops on the back of the hands, please notify our office. In the meantime, we would recommend you use a warm compress and gently massage them down.
